About Hannibal

Since establishing his consulting practice in Marin County, Ca in 1979, Hannibal Giudice has attracted a wide following, cutting across all strata of society. His consulting services are provided to individuals as well as commercial and social enterprises.

Born January 14, 1939 at 2:03 PM in New Haven, Connecticut, Hannibal's family relocated to New York City when he was age twelve. He now resides in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, since moving there from New York at age thirty. In keeping with family tradition, as "the first son of the first son", the name Hannibal was "inherited" from his paternal grandfather.

Astrology is his third career incarnation. As a third generation musician and singer, the world of music and the stage was a major part of his life until 1965 when he decided to enter the corporate experience in New York's Wall St area and trained as a special risk accident insurance underwriter. This successful experience led to a promotion while at AIG Insurance, and relocation in 1969 to San Francisco with his wife and three children, where he continued as a special risk underwriter and manager in the city's financial district through the decade of the 1970's.

Having majored in both history and political science with a minor in philosophy, he was understandably curious to explore the reasons why the greatest minds in history, including leaders of American Revolution, utilized this ancient discipline. This led to a period of serious study of astrology in the mid 1970's and eventually a full time profession in June 1979.

Initially, the focus of his practice was exclusively Genethliacal Astrology, which is primarily concerned with natal chart interpretation. This is undoubtedly the most widely known application of professional astrology. Consultations for individuals, businesses and various social institutions continue to be a greatly rewarding aspect of his practice.

His educational background, however, stimulated a compelling interest in the oldest application of this cosmic science, Mundane Astrology. This is a highly specialized field in astrology involved in the study and analysis of national and world affairs, and the forecasting of future trends. The wisest, most widely respected astrologers in history, the Magi of ancient Babylon, for example, were mundane astrologers. In 1984, he began a series of public lectures under the title "The Future Isn't What It Used To Be" which launched his dual career as a futurist. Formal public acknowledgement was given to the accuracy of his forecasts in November of 1989 when newspaper articles chronicled the success of his prediction, three years prior, of the reunification of Germany, along with other major national and world events. The sudden collapse of communism and the Soviet Union were among the numerous issues that had also been successfully anticipated years prior to their occurrence.

An accomplished, articulate speaker, Hannibal has emerged as a "new breed" of social scientist?one who marries various relevant disciplines to provide focus and direction to individuals in the techniques of managing their lives toward satisfaction in the capture of opportunity and its productive use.

Past Mundane Forecasts

Astrology is about life. In order to apply it successfully, I believe it is as necessary to know as much about one as the other - to know as much about life as about planets, signs and aspects. I also believe it is unwise to apply the science of time to areas of life other than those about which one has first acquired a sufficient practical knowledge. To tread otherwise would be to follow a fool's path. I don't see visions or hear voices. The mundane methodology employed consists of an examination of history, set against the backdrop of the mandate of the times of our cosmic clock.

The many separate time (planetary) cycles repeat their journeys but at each moment, the overall arrangement is mathematically unique to only that instant in time. This is the basis for the observation of how history repeats itself, yet with each repetition occurring within an altered environment. Predictable planetary motion also provides the vehicle for understanding future direction and potential. In synthesizing these time signatures I have always attempted a primary focus on issues of greatest universal significance and will simply let the record speak for itself.

In 1984 the first presentation of "The Future Isn't What It Used To Be" lecture series was launched. A major point of focus was the implications of the major outer planet shifts that were in progress at that time. An analysis of the impending changes in the corporate structure was provided along with forecasts of some of the probable results. The period in question, which was to end in 1995, marked one of the major alterations in the corporate structure and its social impact. Gone were the days when the expectation of a 40-hour week, 40 year steady job with retirement pay and a $40.00 "gold" watch was the rule. A warning was given concerning the inevitable storm ahead specifically in the insurance and banking industries. In due time, we were treated with the now famous "savings and loan" scandal that rocked their industry.

Another major subject was the possibility of a new source of power to replace fossil fuels. Although this has not yet "surfaced" the reasons for it's delay and the inevitability of its realization makes for a more interesting story than I had originally thought. Consequently this subject will definitely be treated in depth in future issues of the Wanderer.

Additional forecasts concerned the difficulties that the MAFIA organized crime syndicate would encounter in the near future. Within a year unprecedented inroads were made with literally mass arrests of entire villages in Sicily as well as within the American "families". We still have international and national organized crime, but the very "godfather" of this genre has not and will never be the same as social historians have since noted.

In January of 1986 I made perhaps what seemed at the time to be the most shocking forecasts that eventually played out on the world stage. The prediction was that East and West Germany would soon be reunited. In answer as to what would the Soviet Union do in response; I maintained that it would be powerless to act since it would also, "collapse like a house of cards" in short order. The earth shattering global events unfolding between 1989 and 1991 fulfilled those forecasts. The global media searched far and wide in the wake of these events and concluded that they were universally unanticipated in any official or unofficial source. On November 29, 1989 a four-column article in the Marin Independent Journal (member of the Gannet national news chain) begged to differ when it validated the claims made in the 1986 speech. In an article entitled "Hannibal Giudice sees into the future, and it works", the contents of the speech were examined and corroborated along with additional forecasts. Other successful forecasts noted in that article were the expectation of public exposure and downfall of popular televangelists in the wake of money and sex scandals. Within months after the speech the first shocker came with the Jim and Tammy Bakkar debacle and about a year later it was my favorite fundie, Jimmy Swaggart, giving his all time award winning whine, the tearful "I have sinned" sermon.

It was maintained in that speech that not only would there not be a hot end to the cold war (with the collapse of communism), but that the greatest future threat would be international religious fundamentalist terrorists.

Additional forecasts in that speech included the reuniting of Northern and Southern Ireland. At that time, most thought they would ever stop killing each other. By now, that's well on its way. I'm still expecting a similar result for North and South Korea, mentioned then as well. It's just a matter of time.

The regeneration of human tissue on a level that would revolutionize medicine was also mentioned in that speech and considered impossible to highly unlikely by 1986 standards. Incrementally, this is also now becoming a miraculous medical reality.

There was one final item from that speech. In the question and answer period, I was asked as to what might be the likely targets in America of the international terrorists and I speculated that it would probably be Washington DC and New York City, with the World Trade Center building as a prime target.

The foregoing is a partial list. Additional material from major addresses given in 1991, 1995 and 2000 will be entered within the near future.
